About Ryan

Ryan began his Long Drive career is 2008 after winning his first ever local and regional qualifier. He consecutively qualified for the World Championships in 2009, 2010, 2011 and again in 2014.  He then decided to step away for a few years to pursue other sports, including competing in Powerlifting.

In 2018 began the comeback into the world of Long Drive, qualifying for Team Canada, followed by qualifying for the World Championships in 2019 where he made top 16, and his first GOLF Channel TV appearance.

In 2020, the pandemic halted all international competitors from participating in the tour events due to travel restrictions, however Ryan won the Canadian National Long Drive Championship, the only competition he was able to attend in 2020.

In 2021, Ryan finished 10th at the World Championships held in Mesquite, NV, while suffering from a major lower body injury on the tee box, unfortunately ending his season.

In 2022, with the help from professionals, he miraculously came back stronger and faster for a successful return to the sport, and attended 7 out of 8 tour events; finishing within the top 5 three times, and always inside the top 11 for each event. Ryan finished 15th at the 2022 World Championships.

In 2023 Ryan competed full time on the World Long Drive tour, Making all but 2 Top 16 final days and adding a second Canadian Championship to his resume, also travelling to Germany for a European tour event where he finished T5 in that event. Culminating with a 9th place finish at the season ending World Championships in Atlanta Georgia. Missing the Television finals by the narrowest of margins in tour history.

In addition to his robust competition history, Ryan is also active in his local community and abroad working with juniors, running speed and distance clinics, personal/virtual coaching and providing entertainment at charity golf events with his Hitbombs.com teammates with hitting exhibitions and clinics across North America For those who enjoy a high adrenaline version of Golf and seeing drives hit over 400yrds

As we move into the Offseason for 2024, Ryan will be hosting speed and distance clinics Locally at the Golfers Academy in Burlington Ontario. if you are interested in hosting a clinic msg us for details and possible dates.

Be on the lookout for the 2024 World Long Drive tour schedule to attend an event near you!
